Teton, ID: R Family

Thankfully it wasn't frigidly cold when we took these pictures after Christmas.

Normally I have little kids running at me crying because their parents are behind me.

Not this little guy he came at me with his finger out ready to get me!

I was in a woody bush of some sort so I couldn't really move, all I could do was laugh when he got to me because I was stuck!

He sure was interested in the snow. That's okay, it gave me time to get some shots with Mommy and Daddy in the background!

We sure did our darnedest to hide that cute little pregnant bump until the end of their shoot. Then we were able to let it show with all it's round little glory! What was really funny was when the little guy was in my non-shooting arm while taking pictures of Mommy and Daddy. Poor little guy had touched way too much snow and was cold, so he was cuddling against my shoulder to warm up. That made it interesting. It's a good thing he's about the same size as my little guy, so wasn't unaccustomed to holding a little one a taking pictures.

I'm excited for them and their bundle of joy, due in early June!

Maternity: Laura and Payden

This is Laura and Payden. Laura is due with their little girl on July 16, and they are both so excited for her to come into their home. They had just moved into our apartment complex before we moved. I gave them a card and said that I would be needing subjects for class if she would like some shots done. She later contacted me and asked if I still needed models, "YES!" was my reply, and here they are.

Laura really wanted some shots of her and Payden together, that was fun for both of them and definitely a new and exciting experience for me. At least doing maternity shots with the husband involved.

I did black and white for all of the shots because not only do they look great with the classic black and white, that's also what they wanted. I was happy to oblige.

A few shots of the mommy to be by herself.

I don't know why, but there's something about these last five images, that kind of leave me in awe and show how much love that this little family has and will be able to share.

This foot shot is just plain cute, it kind of brings in the whole barefoot and pregnant thing.

I love this one because it brings a feeling of strength and protection and that it takes parents, not a parent to bring and raise a child in this chaotic world.

This is my second favorite shot.

That Shot. I love this one by far. I think it has to do with both Mom and Dad's hands, the baby coming into life, the angle, I don't know but this is my favorite.

Payden and Laura best of luck with your baby girl, I had so much fun, and hope that you did as well. If I can offer one piece of advice for you Laura, sleep when the baby sleeps, forget the house for now and everything else, just sleep.

Brooke: She's pregnant!

Did you get it? I hope you enjoy these. Brooke was around 5 months along when we did this shoot. I wasn't objective and hopefully she won't either.

I love this shot! I think that it's by far my favorite!

We did some urban shots, and she didn't have any idea how to pose, and she actually did pretty well. I love the attitude.

This is my second favorite shot for Brooke's maternity session. There may not be much to her belly thus far, but you can tell that the love is already there.
