This is such an impressive feat, that I can't help but post it all by itself. Greg and Kelly start off with this cute "We're going to feed each other cake", and the whole nine yards. Yes, they are wearing plastic garbage bags. Kelly had told me to be ready during the cake cutting, I thought I was....
but I wasn't expecting this, that's for sure.
And then this! Kelly grabbed the entire cake and was working on smashing it in Greg's face. I have NEVER seen anything like this!!!!! It was hilarious.
This smash went on for a few minutes.
Finally after calming down and the smashing stopped, they gave each other a kiss.
It was an intense cleanup. The dance floor was changed from one site of the room to the other so that no one stepped in the cake. Their families took about 15 or 20 minutes to clean up the mess.
Greg's Mom was so sweet and was able to find a bin so that the couple could wash up.
How often is your mother-in-law willing to help wash your cake covered feet. There was cake even between Kelly's toes, ewww! Gross!!
Has anyone else ever seen anything like this? I'd love to hear about it! There was a huge chocolate stain on the back of Kelly's dress. It was probably the funniest wedding reception I had ever attended or photographed! Calling it a cake smash was a lot more appropriate than calling it Cutting the Cake, don't you think?

Oh wow! What a crazy thing to witness! Did they have another cake in the back or were guests sad that they couldn't have any for themselves :)
No cake in the back, that was the only one. Guests were too shocked to even think about wanting some of the cake.
