Salt Lake Valley Corporate Studio Portraits: Jason

At least a month ago, I set up my studio lights and backdrop in my apartment, and did some corporate portraits. This was a lot of fun, and I hope to do a few more in the future. You know what the best part about this whole shoot that took all of 20ish minutes to do? He wore shorts and I think it was sneakers, so he was totally comfortable! Loved it!

Herriman, UT: Real Estate Agent Natalie Griffith

This is Real Estate Agent Natalie Griffith. She is an agent with Keller William Reality. She is a sweetheart and I'm very excited to show you her new studio portraits. I was able to set up my lights, and backdrop in our tiny apartment to give her the professional studio images she needed.

Thanks Natalie for reminding me how much I enjoy doing studio settings!

Herriman, UT: YW Part 3

I have one more set of portraits after this to go for this lovely group of Young Women.

Herriman, UT: YW Part 2

Here are two more lovely ladies. The first is one of my fellow leaders and the second is one of the Young Women I get to work with. Both are beautiful and sweet!

Rexburg, ID: BYU-Idaho PAS

My younger sister is the president of Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization. From what she has explained to me, it's kind of like FFA for college students. She asked me to take portraits of the different officers and adviser so that they could have some nice shots and more than just an image of them leaning back against a white wall. Because half of the time those images look like prison photos or driver's license pictures, and honestly, who likes their driver's license picture?

I'm not exactly sure of everyone's office, so we'll just put them up and hope you enjoy them.

BYU-Idaho has some very lovely gardens and I let each officer select where they would like their portrait taken. If they didn't care, I just chose one that I thought might work for them.

We had a blast with this guy, he kept everyone laughing.

All of the officers and their adviser. Best of luck everyone!

Cocoa Beach, FL: S Senior Portraits

I know you've seen this Senior before, so you're probably thinking, "Why is she on here again? It's been a couple of years." Well, she is graduating in July, but this time with her Bachelor's degree. We're so excited for her, especially since she's my little sister.

She got this cute fedora on our family vacation and wanted pictures with it, how could I say "no" to her.

This image is my favorite of the three, because this is truly her. Her genuine smile, and the happy-go lucky sister I know and love. I also love the B&W.

Bone, ID: S Family Portraits

I have so much to catch up on now that the holidays are over, sorry it has taken me so long to get back. I hope everyone had an awesome and safe holiday season.

I took this family's pictures in a sunflower field. The funny thing was the sunflowers didn't finish following the sun. If you didn't know, the reason for the name sunflowers, is that these flowers follow the sun. The heads go from East to West, and start over at dawn. Well these didn't go all the way, which I found interesting. We had a ton of fun though.

This is D4. She is adorable, and I couldn't pick my favorites. I even had another that I wanted to put up, but I couldn't get it to upload for some reason.

This is D2. She's an absolute ham. And an awesome poser when she wants to be.

I love this picture of her. Can you tell the she's saying "Hey!" Her Dad said something and she totally reacted.

This is D3, she's very quiet and sweet. She was easy to shoot.

This is D1. I think she is beautiful, not just on the inside, but on the outside too. I hope she will see that in her pictures.

The posed shot....

And the not so posed shot being goofy and having fun.

The entire family in the beautiful sunflower field.

I love this family, they're awesome. You know parents seem to make a difference.

Another favorite, because the girls are having fun and being themselves.

Thanks S family! I had so much fun and hope that you won't wait seven years before you get your next family pictures! :)

B: Senior Portraits

B was also with the two most previous Seniors. She is such a sweetheart, and so quiet! I'm so glad that R was there, otherwise I wouldn't have heard her. Her normal voice is the equivalent to my whisper. She was so fun to shoot though.

The first thing she asked was if she could have her guitar in some of her pictures. I was happy to oblige because it gave us a fun little prop to use.

She was worried that the shirt she was wearing wouldn't work with the first set up, it was perfect! Gotta love a little breeze blowing across the face.

I was trying to get B to come out of her shell, and I was successful. With reassurance from her friends, she finally became comfortable.

I loved having the contrast in outfits amongst my three models that day. She wore a white sweater and the other two work black colored tops. It was fun to have the color to play with.

I really like this B&W it's very soft and she looks so comfortable.

THAT SHOT! I think the reason why I love this one so much is that she is genuinely smiling, and it's a candid shot. I love the hair light going on, and sparkle in her eyes.

Another THAT SHOT, she was giggling because she thought she might look silly and we got teeth out of the smile. I love how her hand is in her hair, it just kind of adds for something different.
